Job SummaryAs a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, you will be responsible for the physical setup, breakdown, and upkeep of all meeting and event spaces, following guest specifications and hotel standards. Your work helps set the stage for a successful event by creating a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to accurately and safely set up meeting rooms, banquet halls, and event spaces.
Transport and arrange furniture and equipment (e.g., tables, chairs, staging, podiums, dance floors).
Maintain banquet storage rooms and back hall areas in a clean, organized manner.
Break down event setups and return all items to storage after functions conclude.
Restock rooms with necessary supplies including fresh water, glasses, and linens.
Follow a regular cleaning schedule for all meeting rooms and ballrooms to ensure they remain presentable.
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products.
Respond promptly to unexpected situations such as spills or special requests.
Communicate regularly with supervisors throughout the shift to stay updated on tasks and priorities.
Follow all hotel safety procedures and use proper lifting and protective equipment.
Support fellow team members as needed during high-volume events or quick turnovers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in event setup or hospitality preferred.
Must hold a valid Food Handler Card (or be able to obtain).
Basic English communication skills (written and verbal) required.
Knowledge of standard meeting room setups and event furniture types.
Ability to lift and move up to 80100 lbs frequently and work on your feet for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization.
Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
