As our Executive Sous Chef, you will be responsible for administering, planning, preparation, production, and control of all culinary operations in our hotel. Your role will involve directing and overseeing all culinary operations, ensuring food quality and presentation, compliance with safety and sanitation standards, team member productivity and performance, and overall profitability. You will work closely with our Director of Food and Beverage to create and implement new menus based on current trends and regional tastes. Interacting with guests and clients to assess satisfaction and make improvements will also be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be responsible for general management duties, including budget and forecasting, report generation, and department management.
We are looking for a candidate with basic reading, writing, and math skills, along with some laundry experience preferred. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays may be required. Physical requirements include lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, handling objects and equipment, and working in high-temperature areas around heavy equipment.
Our ideal candidate will have a two-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent education and experience. Three or more years of experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a comparable hotel environment is required, along with banquet/catering experience. Strong leadership skills are a must.
