Position SummaryThe Food and Beverage Ordering & Receiving Associate is responsible for accurately placing and receiving food and beverage orders, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring all goods are stored according to safety and sanitation standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall departmental needs. Intermediate kitchen knowledge and a team-oriented mindset are essential to success in this role.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlace and track food and beverage orders with approved vendors in a timely and accurate manner.
Receive deliveries, verify packing slips against actual items received, and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
Safely lift and transport inventory items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Accurately record and maintain inventory data using computer-based systems.
Monitor inventory levels, track expiration dates, and alert management of shortages or irregularities.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures during receiving and handling.
Conduct end-of-month food and beverage inventories and ensure par levels are maintained.
Assist in basic food preparation or kitchen support tasks when necessary.
Communicate clearly and professionally with kitchen staff, managers, and suppliers.
Assist other team members and departments as directed by management to ensure smooth operations.
Ability to regularly lift and move items up to 75 pounds.
Strong computer proficiency; familiarity with inventory/order management systems preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Intermediate knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling safety.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute to team efforts.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Prior experience in food service, kitchen support, or a receiving role is preferred.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
A flexible schedule is preferred; typical full-time schedule includes Thursdays and Sundays off.
As part of a 24/7 operation, availability to work varied shiftsincluding early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidaysmay be required based on business needs.
This role involves standing, walking, lifting, and moving within a fast-paced kitchen and receiving environment.
