The DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Downtown is looking for a vibrant sales professional who has a passion for catering sales, relationships, and team building. We are looking for someone who is driven, creative, and has a strategic mind in terms of evaluating business opportunities for the Hotel. This position will be responsible for all catering segments for the hotel.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha offers 414 spacious guestroom accommodations including suites and over 29,000 square feet of total meeting space which includes an Executive Meeting Center on the 19th floor with fabulous views of the city. This hotel is located just steps away from Omaha Convention Center, Old Market and Charles Schwab Field. The hotel is perfect for events of all sizes, in addition to large corporate events and, famously accommodating for small to mid-size meetings as well, in our Executive Meeting Center.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Aggressively prospect, research, and solicit new accounts. Sell the Hotel creatively, utilizing a goals/benefits/features approach to securing business through solicitation, outside sales calls, networking, tradeshows, industry, and customer events.
  • Manage existing accounts and follow up with client re-solicitation for future business.
  • Provide exceptional customer service through relationship development, strategizing account development and creating plans that fully exhibit commitment to the fulfillment of customer expectations.
  • Conduct site inspections, menu tastings, escort client visits, actively entertain, and personally interact with customers, as appropriate for Catering sales development.
  • Participate in community involvement opportunities and serve as a strong presence for the hotel.
  • Plan, upsell and detail BEOs with a high level of detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Participate in weekly BEO meetings with hotel teams.
  • Work with Food & Beverage Team to ensure all events have necessary information for execution.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent service to achieve guest satisfaction and knowledge of menu planning, including the ability to guide selections.
  • Validate billing from accounting for accuracy before it goes to the client.
  • Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of professional standards including appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self.
  • Perform special projects or additional duties as requested by Director of Sales & Marketing.

Experience:

2 + years of hotel catering sales experience preferred.

Hilton Brand experience a plus.

Delphi or Delphi FDC experience preferred but not required.

Our hotel features 29,000 square feet of meeting space, featuring the 19th floor Executive Meeting Center and the 1,000-person Grand Ballroom. Catering and A/V professionals are on-hand.
