Embassy Suites by Hilton – Paradise Valley

Embassy Suites by Hilton Paradise Valley is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cook to join our culinary team. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences by preparing and plating menu items to Hilton standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

• Prep, prepare, and plate menu items according to established recipes and menu specifications

• Prepare all broiled and sautéed food items as specified on guest checks to ensure product consistency

• Transport and handle heavy food products as needed

• Visually inspect, select, and use only the highest-quality food items

• Ensure proper storage of products, including portion control and correct cuts of meat

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of refrigeration units, equipment, storage, and work areas in compliance with health department regulations

• Maintain required logs, including cooling, heating, and temperature records

• Assist other kitchen personnel as needed

• Perform related duties as requested by management

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations

• Strong understanding of sanitation and food safety standards

• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, and related tools

• Ability to read and follow written product labeling and preparation instructions

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or move items weighing up to 100 lbs

• Manual dexterity to safely and effectively use kitchen tools and equipment

• Ability to work in extreme temperature ranges (hot and cold)

• Ability to work in confined kitchen spaces

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
