What You’ll Be Doing

As the leader of our sales department, you’ll be in charge of spearheading our direct sales and marketing effort. You’ll play a key role in managing our top accounts and executing a range of essential tasks:

  • Understanding and applying the consultative sales process
  • Leading a sales team
  • Mastering the art of revenue management
  • Spending half of your time out in the field, doing outside sales
  • Keeping the Sales Office organized, from sales files to trace system
  • Constructing an annual marketing plan and budget
  • Contributing to the local community and civic affairs
  • Leading daily and weekly sales meetings
  • Occasionally acting as Manager on Duty

Building Successful Teams

As our Director of Sales, you’ll have the opportunity to recruit and mentor high-performing sales associates. You'll be a constant source of motivation and inspiration, fostering an effective team environment and driving cooperation among all departments. Your expertise will be key in shaping our sales strategy with the Revenue Manager and General Manager.

What You Bring to the Table

Your exceptional verbal, comprehension, listening, and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in this role. You’ll need robust interpersonal and time management skills, and a knack for direct sales. Your ability to foster outstanding guest relations will also be a driving force for success.

Education

A BA or BS in Marketing Administration is required, and a Certified Hospitality Sales Professional qualification is preferred.

Experience

Three years of Direct Sales experience is essential. An intimate working knowledge of market qualification, the consultative selling process, trace management, and an entrepreneurial spirit to create and mentor superior sales talent is key. Familiarity with annual revenue and expense budgets is also preferred.
