Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Hilton Garden Inn – Middletown, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: General Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and experienced Sales Manager to lead the sales efforts for our brand-new Hilton Garden Inn in Middletown, Pennsylvania. This is a rare opportunity to build and execute a strategic sales plan from the ground up, drive revenue, and establish the hotel as a premier choice for business and leisure travelers alike.

As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and managing all aspects of the hotel's sales and marketing strategy, generating new business, and nurturing key client relationships to meet or exceed revenue goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Opening Sales Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a pre-opening sales plan.
    • Build brand awareness in the local market prior to opening.
    • Establish key corporate, government, group, and travel agency accounts.
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Lead all sales and marketing efforts, including corporate, group, and leisure segments.
    • Collaborate with the General Manager to set revenue goals and sales targets.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate relationships with local businesses, chambers, associations, and tourism partners.
    • Conduct property tours, sales calls, and attend networking events to drive business.
  • Marketing & Revenue Generation:
    • Develop promotional packages and group sales offers.
    • Work with the Hilton brand team and digital marketing partners to drive online visibility and bookings.
    • Coordinate with revenue management to optimize pricing and occupancy.
  • Team & Culture:
    • Hire and mentor future sales team members as the hotel grows.
    • Promote a collaborative and results-oriented culture in line with Hilton brand values.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hotel sales experience; Hilton brand experience preferred.
  • Pre-opening hotel experience a plus.
  • Proven success in B2B sales, group bookings, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the Middletown market or willingness to build connections quickly.
  • Proficient in hotel sales systems (Delphi, CI/TY, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
