Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hotel Banquet Manager to oversee the successful execution of all banquet events within our hotel. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every event, from intimate gatherings to large conferences, is executed flawlessly. You will manage a talented team, collaborate with multiple departments, and be the key point of contact for clients to guarantee an outstanding guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Coordination and Execution: Ensure the flawless setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events. Oversee room arrangements, catering service, and event timing to meet both client and hotel standards.

Staff Supervision & Communication: Lead, train, and motivate the banquet team, including servers, bartenders, and supervisors. Conduct pre-shift huddles to review event details, expectations, and last-minute changes to ensure alignment.

Client & Guest Interaction: Act as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after their events. Ensure client needs and special requests are met and provide excellent service.

Operational Oversight: Manage banquet inventory, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all items are in good condition and orders are placed as needed.

Budget & Cost Management: Control operational costs, including labor and supplies, to stay within budget while ensuring excellent service delivery.

Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed, including food handling and sanitation procedures.

Post-Event Evaluation: Gather client feedback and conduct evaluations to improve service and refine processes for future events.

Management of Smaller Events: Independently manage smaller events, including meetings, luncheons, and intimate gatherings, ensuring all logistics and service run smoothly.

Weekly BEO Meetings: Attend weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings to review event details and ensure alignment across all departments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Banquet Manager, Event Coordinator, or in a similar role in a hotel or event venue.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A hands-on, service-oriented mindset and a passion for hospitality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Delphi, Opera, or similar) is a plus.
- Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certification (or willingness to obtain if required).
- A degree or certification in Hospitality Management is preferred.
