Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking an Executive Chef for the al- new Canopy by Hilton Louisville Downtown, slated to open in March 2025!

A dynamic culinary leader in the market with at least 5 years of experience in luxury/upscale hotels is required (leading multiple outlets), with a desire to fully embrace and be an ambassador to the community and culture of Louisville, KY. A clear understanding of the high-end fine dining experience is an absolute must. 

This is a 168 room property that can by found just minutes from Whiskey Row. The KFC Yum Center Arena is less than 10 minutes away on foot and the entertainment district, Fourth Street Live! The hotel will feature a steakhouse, rooftop pool, and over 5000 sq ft of meeting space.

As Executive Chef, you will

• Channel your culinary passion into all aspects of hotel food operations, including outlets and banquet facilities. You’ll focus on exceeding guest expectations while simultaneously driving revenue and maximizing profit.
• Oversee kitchen financials. Partnering with Finance, recommend the budget and ensure food and labor costs fall within budget for optimized flow-through.
• Lead an energized, inspired kitchen. Create an atmosphere that fosters teamwork and elicits constructive feedback. Lead a diverse team by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle. Oversee the safety of the environment and food for your staff and guests.
• Create with a passion to delight. Demonstrate individuality in your menu conceptions and be willing to implement new cooking techniques. Take pride in your dishes and maintain consistency in taste and quality.

Fundamentals

A degree in Culinary is preferred, along with experience in fine dining establishments (required). You must be prepared to obtain any additional licenses or certificates, such as the State Health certificate, in order to comply with state law.
