TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF THE POSITION

  • Welcome guests with a smile and help them check in by confirming their reservation, assigning them a room, and giving them their room key.
  • Accept payments in different forms (room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit) and make sure guests receive proper receipts.
  • Help guests with the checkout process, making sure to address any concerns or late charges.
  • Be the friendly voice that answers all guest calls, takes messages, and helps guests with any requests or questions they may have.
  • Work with our Housekeeping and Engineering teams to ensure that guest rooms are ready for check-in.
  • Guide guests with parking procedures, and dispatch staff when necessary.
  • Provide guests with information about the hotel's amenities, and help them explore local areas of interest by offering directions and recommendations.
  • Keep an eye on daily reports, and make sure all special requests are fulfilled and accurate.
  • Manage the cash drawer, count it at the beginning and end of your shift, and balance and drop receipts and vouchers in accordance with our accounting procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • We're looking for someone with at least a year of experience in customer service, so you can hit the ground running.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is great, and if you have hotel experience, even better!
  • Being fluent in English is a must, so you can communicate effectively with our guests and team.
  • We want someone who can think on their feet and come up with solutions to any issues that may arise.
  • Knowing your way around a computer will be a big help, but don't worry if you're not an expert just yet - we'll provide training.
  • One of the most important parts of this role is being friendly and approachable. We want our guests to feel comfortable coming to you with any questions or concerns they may have.
